Auction to benefit Coe-Brown music programs
Northwood, NH: Supporters of the Performing Arts (SOPA) at
Coe-Brown Northwood Academy (CBNA) will hold its second-annual fundraising auction
on Sunday, April 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the academy's Gerrish Gym, 907 First
New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood.
The
event is the cornerstone of a Buy-a-Key capital campaign designed to purchase
a baby grand piano for the academys performing arts students. Half of the
proceeds will go to the piano fund and the other half will be put into SOPAs
scholarship fund to assist undergraduates attending summer music, choral and theater
programs, and to continue the SOPA scholarships presented to graduating CBNA seniors
who plan to attend college with a concentration in the performing arts.
The auction offers the opportunity to bid in both silent and
live auctions with items donated by various local businesses and individuals.
Deborah Millette of Northwood will serve as the auctioneer. Among the items up
for bid are dinner and merchandise certificates, arts, crafts and gift baskets.
SOPA is a dedicated group of parents, students, teachers and
community members organized to support the instrumental music, choral and theater
programs at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy. To make a donation to the Buy-a-Key campaign,
