COE-BROWN STUDENT RECEIVES EAGLE SCOUT AWARD

NORTHWOOD—Coe-Brown Senior Zachary Lacroix, 18, son of Kevin and Brenda Lacroix of Strafford, was awarded his Boy Scouts of America Eagle Badge at a recent Court of Honor held at the Third Baptist Church in Strafford. The Eagle Badge is scouting’s highest honor. Lacroix is a Boy Scout with Troop 23 in Strafford. He currently serves as Assistant Scout Master.

For his Eagle Project, Lacroix coordinated the replacement of the walkways in front of the Third Baptist Church and Christian Center in Strafford. When asked what becoming an Eagle Scout meant to him, Lacroix said “I proved to everyone that I could do it. I believed in myself all along.”

Lacroix graduates from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in May, and plans to attend Norwich University in Vermont as a member of the Corps of Cadets. He plans to pursue a degree in political science and history.
