COE-BROWN STUDENT HONORED FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS PARTICIPATION

NORTHWOOD— Amanda Torosian, a junior at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy, was recently recognized at a school assembly for her participation in the Special Olympics winter competitions held at Coe-Brown.

Amanda earned three ribbons in three different events at the competition: first place in 25m snowshoe, first place in 40m snowshoe, and second place in 15m snowshoe, all in the beginner division.

The event, held February 9th at Coe-Brown, hosted 120 athletes from across the region. The competition, held annually at the school, was organized this year by senior Katie McCabe as part of her senior portfolio project.
