CBNA NAMES TOP TEN GRADUATES FOR 2011

 

The Valedictorian for the class of 2011 is Heather Ward, daughter of Rita and Frank Ward of Strafford.  During her high school career Heather has been involved in the National Spanish Honor Society, Select Chorus, Show Choir, Girls A Capella, and the International Thespian Society.  She has been accepted to Asbury University where she plans to study missions with a possible double major of music.

 

 

The 2011 Salutatorian is Katherine Decker, daughter of Scott and Cindy Decker of Northwood.  While at Coe-Brown, Katherine has been a member of Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, Cross Country, National French Honor Society and is this year’s president of the CBNA chapter of the National Honor Society.  She plans to attend the University of New Hampshire as a member of the College of Life Science and Agriculture.

The remaining top ten graduates are listed in alphabetical order:

Anthony Craven, son of Chip and Cathy Craven of Strafford, has been a member of the Cross Country, Men’s Volleyball and Track and Field teams while attending CBNA.  He has also been a member of the Pep Band and the Jazz Band, and has participated on the Coe-Brown Granite State Challenge Team.  Anthony has been accepted to Wake Forest University, Ithaca College, UNH and UMass Amherst and plans to study physics in the future.

 

Sarah Frizzell, daughter of Joyce and Alan Frizzell of Strafford, has been a member of the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Women’s Soccer teams, during her time at CBNA.  Sarah is also a member of the National French Honor Society and the National Honor Society.  She plans to attend Ithaca College in the fall to pursue a six year doctorate in Physical Therapy.

 

 

Katherine Hults, daughter of Joseph and Laraine Hults of Barrington, is a member of the Varsity Golf and Varsity Softball teams.  Her other activities include Peer Helpers, Project Search, National Honor Society, and National Latin Honor Society. Katherine plans to attend New York University in the fall to major in neuroscience in the pre-med track.

 

 

Austin Leavitt, son of Albert and Desire´ Leavitt of Strafford, is a founding member of The Honourable Society for Philocubism.  He also has competed on the CBNA Math team and is a member of the National Spanish Honor Society.  Austin plans to study English Education at the University of New Hampshire in the fall.

 

 

 

Marissa St. Laurent, daughter of Michael and Jean St. Laurent of Strafford, has participated in CBNA school life by being a member of the JV Softball team, Paragon Staff and National French Honor Society during her four years.  She has been accepted to the University of New Hampshire, the University of Vermont, the University of San Diego, Champlain College and St. Michael’s College as an undeclared major.

 

 

Benjamin White, son of Ted and Elaine White of Strafford has greatly enjoyed going to the gym to lift weights and to play basketball during his high school career.  He plans on attending NHTI in Concord, NH to become a registered nurse

.

 

 

 

Kelly Worcester, daughter of Todd and Tammy Worcester of Barrington, has been a member of the Varsity Volleyball and Varsity Softball teams, as well as being a member of the National Honor Society and the National French Honor Society.  Kelly has been accepted to and plans to attend the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University to major in communications.

 

 

 

Alanna Young of Strafford is the daughter of Margaret Auerbach and Rick Young.  While attending Coe-Brown, Alanna has been a member of National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and National Art Honor Society and has been a member of the Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field teams.  She has been accepted at UNH, UMass at Amherst, the University of Vermont and Stonehill College as an undeclared major.

In addition to these outstanding students, the class of 2011 has forty members who will be graduating with Highest Honors with GPAs of 93 or above, and sixty honor graduates with GPAs between 92 and 85. Congratulations to all.
