Using HTML code to enhance your web pages

Ready to learn about making your web pages more interesting and varied?

The bottom of each edit screen presents a group of icons used to add features to your web page.

By clicking on any icon you are shown how to type the HTML code to add that particular feature.

This page will allow you to learn and experiment with them.

When you are comfortable, you can incorporate them into your own site. Click here to view some of the features you will learn to use.

The icons on your edit page include: (Click on any one of them below for a description of their use.)

Adding Bold Typeface
Adding Italic typeface
Adding a bullet list
Adding a hyperlink
Adding a line break
Adding a graphic
Underlining Instructions for underlining text are identical to those used for Bold and Italic typefaces describes above, except that you will use the code elements <u> and </u>.
Other code If you are familiar with other HTML code and tags you may use them as you like. Just be sure your code is correct before updating the page, because HTML coding errors can cause the page to stall. In the event this happens, you may need to reload the whole page from scratch... so its always a good idea to save your page code in a back up file.

Here's a practice page where you can experiment.
